On the shores of Laguna Bacalar, 5 km from town, reachable by federal highway or the Tren Maya.

Tren Maya — Bacalar Station

Arrive directly from Cancún, Playa del Carmen, Tulum, or Chetumal. Bacalar station is 10 min from Buenavista by taxi or mototaxi.

ADO — Autobuses de Oriente

Connections from across Mexico. The Bacalar terminal is 10 min from Buenavista.

Questions about staying

Are the rooms on the lagoon?

No. The Jungle Casitas are set in the gardens, not on the water. A lagoon-front Lakeside Casita is coming soon. Guests have free access to Laguna Bacalar nearby, and kayak and paddleboard rentals are available for a fee.

Do the rooms have private bathrooms or air conditioning?

No. Bathrooms are shared and sit in a separate building, with showers. The casitas are cooled by a fan.

What are check-in and check-out times?

Check-in is from 2:00 pm and check-out is by 12:00 pm.

How much is a night?

Rates start at $45 USD a night and vary by season, dates and availability. The booking page always shows the current price.

Is aerial instruction included in my stay?

No. Stays are self-guided. You can rent rig time on your own or join an instructor-led event, where coaching and private lessons are available. Each is booked separately.

How do I get there?

Take the Tren Maya or an ADO bus to Bacalar, then a taxi to Buenavista. By car, follow Federal Highway 307.

Can I rent a kayak or the rigs without staying?

Yes. Kayak, paddleboard and bike rentals, aerial rig sessions and cenote tours can all be booked on their own, no stay required.
